THE 20th European film festival will be held at Nay Pyi Daw Cinema in Yangon from October 22 to 28.
The festival will be presented by the British Council, French Institute and the Italian and German embassies in Yangon.
Seven films will be shown during the festival, including British film Made in Dagenham (2010), directed by Nigel Cole; German films My Words, My Lies — My Love (2009), directed by Alain Gsponer, and Neukölln Unlimited (2010), directed by Agostino Imondi and Dietmar Ratsh; and Italian movie La Spettatrice (The Spectator, 2004), directed by Paolo Franchi.
The French selections will include Roshdy Zemís 2006 film Mauvaise Foi (Bad Faith) and Marc Dugainís Une Exécution Ordinaire (An Ordinary Execution, 2010).
Another British film will also be shown, with the title yet to be confirmed.
Free invitations to attend the film screenings will be available starting from October 17 at the British Council, French Institute and participating embassies.
The invitations can be exchanged for tickets at Nay Pyi Daw Cinema on the day of each screening, from 9am until 20 minutes before the show.
